I tend to leave alot of the songs I write unfinished.
Got notebooks full of 'em.
Kind of a fun glimpse into my mindset at the time.
Also throw in some random one acts, short film ideas, and monologues into the mix.
It's not one of my songs that everyone's been waitin' to analyze, but it is something.
Something (I'm not sure what to classify it under) from late '05.
I was probably still a tad bit emo than.

Sad Wish

What's so difficult?
Am I making things hard for you?
Then just comfortably leave me even though I can't understand why.
I do have a favor to ask you though.
You have to be living happily next time I run into you so I can understand.

Don't apologize to me.
Just show me your smile while you hold everything in.
I want to yell 'no' but since I know it's pointless I'll just let you slip away.

Next time be happy.
That way I can't approach you and can easily let you go.
If you can't do it, you can come back to me.
I'm still living for you.
It's hard, but I will wait, remembering the times we've spent in comfort.

I think I'll cry because I don't understand.
I have no confidence I'll be able to forget you.
I want to yell 'no' but since I know it's pointless I'll just let you slip away.
----------------------------------------

So yea, not really sure what I was aiming for when I put that together.
All I know is that it involved the breaking down of my last relationship.
Although it does leave me w/ a solid base for a song.
I'm thinkin' heavy on the strings.
'Cuz I'm a classic type of guy.

Gonna change pace here courtesy of one of my old high school buds.
At least until the end of the week I'm supposed to avoid everything that could effect my vision in a negative way until my eyes heal completely.
I just noticed that the act of motor-boating at this moment could potentially alter my vision in a negative way for the rest of my life.
How fun would that be though?
Permanent blindness caused by ample bosom.

I like to think that when you move in with someone, you're tellin' yourself: "I hope we don't break-up."
More on that in a future post.

Raise your hand if you've gotten Lasik surgery!
*Raises hand*
MmmHmm...

I'm the proud owner of 20/15 vision now.
Courtesy of the fine people at www.kaweschlaser.com

They have this list of celebrities they've performed Lasik on.
The one that got me to sign up: David Carradine.
Taye Diggs is awesome, don't get me wrong.
But he didn't convince everyone that he was asian for a long time.

Went karaoking that night to test out the new vision an' sport the nifty protective goggles I had to wear that day and everytime I go to bed for the next week or so.
Song I wanted to karaoke: Burning Ring of Fire.
'Cuz that's what it felt like in my eyes right after the surgery.
Song I ended up karaoking first: I Can See Clearly Now.

If you haven't noticed thru any of my postings yet, I can be a bit cheesy and/or random.
Actor, go figure.

So yea, new vision's great.
Night vision's awesome.
Probably make the singles life easier on me.
Can see more of the subtle signs out there.
Can even spot the Adam's apples the night of as opposed to the morning after.

Why does everyone insist on prying into my dating life?
Is it really that fun to live vicariously thru me?
At least you've all stopped askin' me to post songs.

I'm runnin' low on quotes again.

All I can say 'bout that last comment is that I'm glad I'm Asian because I only have to deal with stupid shit like that half the time.
To get more detailed 'bout that would just make me get fired up.
Personally, I'd rather focus on the joys of life.

Like dating.

I've gone from seven (7) down to four (4) ladies that I'm dating on a consistent basis now.
One just kinda stalled from an emotional growth point.
The other came to a mutual agreement that it'd just work out better as a friends with benefits status.
The last one...
The last one's a more fun situation.

I met her bar-hopping.
Turns out she's dating multiple guys too.
I would be one of three.
She decided to lower it down to two a few weeks back.

I didn't make the cut.
And here I was thinkin' I helped bring sexy back.

So yea, Lasik surgery on Friday.
Still need a driver at this point.
Turns out my original surgeon passed away from a massive heart attack last week.
His brother's gonna take over the practice for him.
Kinda makes me appreciate the randomness that is the world we live in.

Random.
Like my dating life.
Ideally I'd like to keep my magic number at around 4 or less until the month of April is over.
Funds're kinda stretched as is and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford more.
Damn you life for sending more prospects my way.
But there are some great ones...

Great smile.
Sense of humor.
And that's enough for this equal opportunity single.

One has to wonder though: Am I too old to have a crush on someone?
'Cuz I figure that if I remember her face AND her name, that's definite interest on my behalf.

Sometimes options are a bad thing.
But to those depressed singles out there, remember this:
Everyday that passes brings out more legal options for us.
Somebody's 18th birthday is today.
Yay for us!

A repost for the non-myspace crowds:

And then there's Lasik
So I started the new year with three things on my to do list by the end of the year.

1.) Buy a big screen for the living room.
2.) Get Lasik surgery.
3.) Get a comfy bed to replace the thin mattress I use currently in my apartment.

Yea, they're all purchases and placed in order of importance.
I've got my priorities straight.
Haven't had any complaints 'bout the bed yet.

On March 23rd I get #2 out of the way.
Courtesy of Dr. Kawesch.
In La Jolla.
Because I'm smooth like that, I managed to get the price down to $4000 for surgery on both eyes.

Also need a driver for that day.
'Cuz I'm gonna be drugged up.

Volunteering to be my driver that day has it's benefits:
-I'll buy you lunch.
-Get to see me drugged up.
-Get to see the world!
-Get to chillax w/ me for half the day.
-Get to know me better.
-Opportunity to get to "know" me better in the bibilical sense
-'Cuz you can probably take advantage of me while I'm drugged up.
-Should make for a good bedtime story.

Volunteers are welcome and encouraged.
Applications will be submitted and reviewed by a judge panel consisting of me, myself, I, and a stuffed penguin pillow thingy.
Winner'll be announced in the next blog.

So yea, I've had access to pussy in my apartment pretty much from the 2nd day I moved into the apartment.

Roommates got kittens.

Why do I mention that?
Because I like that joke.

Seven ladies.
Seven I.O.U.s
Just focus on me this time around. I'll get you next year.
*trademark smirk*

I actually owe a few serenades to them next week.
Problem is committing seven separate songs to memory.
'Cuz three of them actually talk to each other now.
Probably spend most of the time pointing out the nuances of my penis.
Which are quite elaborate.

Work and karaoke w/ my homie + friends 'fore he moves away next week today.

How's Valentine's/Singles Awareness Day treating everyone?

Do YOU know what's awesome?
My new cellphone screensaver

Penguin hopping on rocks.
Friggin' AWESOME.
Truly.

So I learned tonight that if you spend too much time flirting w/ a Starbucks girl you're hot chocolate turns into warm chocolate.
Go figure.

Damn this cold.
Not sick enough to stay home.
Yet sick enough to make the workday seem alot longer.
Sexual healing probably wouldn't make this cold go away, but it'd sure be fun to try.

I need a better guitar.
And my tolerance to be lower so this Dayquil would actually work on me.

Have you seen my wiener?

I'm running low on quotes again.

Contrary to popular belief, my room is not full of penguin related materials.

No.
There are also two big-ass lollipops that also serve as blunt instruments of destruction if need be.

Damn this cold.
Been awhile since I've updated here.
I'm trying to make it more of a regular thing.
Like the period at the end of a sentence.
Or bowel movements.
Or fun Budweiser Superbowl commercials.

So I managed to cut down the number of ladies I was dating down to 6 last week.
After a 30min. blind date, I bumped it back up to 7.
I can't help myself, we just gelled really well.

Problem with dating so many, it gets expensive.
Which is the main reason I dropped one of them to friend status.
Dated 4 months and I was always picking up the sizeable tab.
If you're gonna abuse me, make it sexually.

The other lady wanted girlfriend status after dating for 4 weeks.
Chyeah.

Also completely forgot 'bout Valentine's Day 'til a few weeks ago.
Think I'm working that week...
Like all 7 days.
But that comment reminds me of a test I took at Tickle.
"Why are you single?"
My result: Because you don't want to commit.

Ya think?
That actually gave me a good laugh.

There's a very valid reason why I'm taking my time with this decision.
I don't want to waste another 3 and a half years on a woman that'll have me invest everything of myself into her and throw it all away.
Makes me feel like toilet paper.
Possibly like Charmin.
'Cuz less is more.

For now, keeping my options open and seeing what life has to offer.
And apparently I'm great diffusing situations.

So I'm talking w/ one of my musician friends on Saturday night and she brings up a valid point.
Modern hip-hop kinda sucks.
Mostly in the writing.
Rappers spend too much time focusing on how they're better than everyone else.

I've got too much bling and a really big dick.
Push it up inside your stomach and make you sick.
My gold plated toilet bowl's a limited edition.
Got so much cash I wipe my ass with them.

'Naw mean?

When did this start happening?
People who grew up in the 90's, remember when it had substance?
When there were stories, or messages found in the songs.
When they talked about life's struggles and triumphs, or maybe even love.

Woman, let me count the ways that I love you.
Your ass, your booty, and your boobies too.
I guess that's three or is it technically two?
Girl let's stop this talking let me get up in you.

I don't like having too much freetime, my mind kinda scares me.
But yea, hip-hop isn't a total loss.
There are some great lyricists still out there in the game, and they're greatly appreciated.

Hopefully the new year has been friendly to everyone so far.
The following are my resolutions for 07:

-Get a bed for my room in the apartment.
-Get a big screen for the living room.
-Get my hands on a ukulele.
-And steel drums.
-Start performing at more open mics.
-Cut down the list of ladies I'm dating.
-Tone my muscles.
-Kick ass in my adventures in real estate to pay off more debts.

For the most part, my resolutions are materialistic.
If anything, it'll help you get gift ideas for my 25th bday in June.

Yes, I did mention real estate.
'Cuz culinary school is a no go on account of my loan application being denied again.
I did make substantial repairs to my credit score in 06, just not enough for them.
There's always next year.

I could stress, but it won't really accomplish anything.
Because I'm glad my patience is still intact.
Along with my high alcohol tolerance.
And my third leg.

And someone out there was thinking there'd be no humor in this post.

I figure that one of these days I'll start hitting up the open mics in San Diego.
One original song, one cover.
Since I'm a fan of sing-alongs, start studying everyone.

Gummi Bears

Dashing and daring, courageous and caring
Faithful and friendly, with stories to share
All through the forest they sing out in chorus
Marching along as their song fills the air

Gummi bears
Bouncing here and there and everywhere
High adventure that's beyond compare
They are the gummi bears

Magic and mystery are part of their history
Along with the secret of gummi berry juice
Their legend is growing, they take pride in knowing
They fight for what's right in whatever they do

Gummi bears
Bouncing here and there and everywhere
High adventure that's beyond compare
They are the gummi bears

They are the gummi bears!
----------------------------------

Ah, my favorite song to cover.
Though I get a better response with Duck Tales.
Was always a major fan of Rescue Rangers.
Maybe I should just work on a megamix.

Some of you are still waiting for me to start posting original lyrics huh?
I need a bigger response 'fore that happens.
It's been awhile.
I figure, why not?

And in case I don't get around to it:
Happy Holidays everyone!
Be safe and stay out of jail for me.

Got distracted by too many projects today and have work at 7am.
For now, you get the cliff notes version on my life to this point.

-Single and dating.
-Living in an apartment with old friends from high school over by CSUSM.
-Spend the majority of my time selling phones and stuff at the Fry's in San Marcos.
-Taking online classes for Real Estate.
-Fan of Helio.
-Last Sunday was my last day at the candy shop.
-Didn't realize how many friends I made working at the mall.
-Not auditioning as much as I'd like to.
-Haven't been practicing the guitar as much as I'd like to either.
-Not a fan of peer pressure.
-Still a major fan of penguins and sushi.
-Could use a co-signer with good credit to help me finance culinary school for next year. (Just in case.)
-Apparently I'm getting gloves as an early gift sometime soon so I need to update my wishlist accordingly.
-My wishlist is probably very simple now.
-Need to get to sleep now.
-Just noticed the automatic spellcheck feature.
I like how being slightly intoxicated gives you an appreciation of how hard it is to jog up a flight of stairs on account of the cool night.
Also, how fun it is to watch a kitten tear up random shit around your apartment, even if it is your leg.

So yea, planning on giving everyone a quick update on all the aspects on my life later today when I'm more sober.
Been meaning to, just been runnin' into many distractions.
That and working seven days a week.
